Dining Sky High!
October 23rd 2008 10:33
How is this? The concept started in Europe and is now going to hit Sydney starting this weekend on Cockatoo Island. The McKenna Air Bar (in cooperation with 'Dinner in the Sky') will be launched in Sydney with further dates set for January for those interested to book.
What it is, is basically a set of fixed tables and chairs where you get strapped on and lifted 164 feet into the air by a crane, and get served drinks and some food while you hang.
I saw this on one of the travel shows recently, and they even had a violinist up there with them to provide dining music.
Crazy, but I suppose it's good for those seeking a bit of a thrill. Not for me though, I would be too busy worrying about the cable snapping and won't be able to enjoy the food!
