The Tea Room - QVB
March 25th 2008 03:29
I have never been to The Tea Room on my own will. Not because I don't like it, but it's simply out of my budget for the moment.
I have been to The Tea Room mostly for university academic functions. I was invited to a breakfast by the Sydney Uni / IBM alumni event and then again with UTS. It was a pleasant experience. The food were fantastic, the service is tops and the only down side to the place is its location. Right at the top floor of the QVB and no view. The windows are too high on the walls for you to enjoy any of the city views, not that you would notice, being immersed in the delicious cakes and pastries while chatting away over a cup (a very delicate cup) of tea.
I've always wanted to go back for a high tea session. From the list I recommended on Sydney Fun - Sydney High Teas the Tea Room would be on the top of them all. I have actually 'seen' it by looking in through the door, but boy do I wish I have someone to go with!
